අත්තම්මගෙ ගෙදර වද ගහ යට, හිරුට කූඩුවෙන් වැටුණු කුරුලු පැටියෙක් හම්බ වෙනවා. එයාට තාම පියාඹන්න බෑ, ඉතින් හිරු එයාට උගන්නන්න හදනවා. ඒත් අන්තිමට හිරු තමා ඉවසන්න ඉගෙන ගන්නේ.Under the hibiscus at Aththamma's house, little Hiru finds a baby tailorbird that has fallen from its nest. He tries to teach it to fly… but in the end, it's Hiru who learns something: patience.
